There is a more universal way to save any flash movie.
If you're on a linux box with Firefox, let the youtube movie buffer all the way from beginning to end.
Then look in for a /tmp/Flash???????? (use the timestamp or mplayer to figure out which file is the correct movie file). Move this file somewhere else.
Use mencoder or something to convert it another format if you wish (or leave it as is, mplayer or xine should be able to directly play it)
