Yeah, it's all about pacing yourself; having balance.
Don't expect to get to the end goal without moderation. You'll end up going too hard and for too long. Burn out happens and momentum dies comes along with it.
I'm pretty excited about this and hoping I get it enabled soon.

It's adding just enough value to not drag it down in the complexity stakes. Twitter is known for it's simplicity. I think this features add more without looking like they've added much at all.
Given the almost radical nature of the redesign it's not surprising that people didn't want to put up with it.
But if it is something for the better. Then a better design will see an influx of new users. It'd be interesting to see their new subscription rate.
