Today we have a lot of generalist tools for dashboarding, task management... I think the next step is to customize those tools for all domains/sectors (marketing, finance / production, service) in order to deliver the most plug&play/expert products.
Have you considered creating a platform such as http://gust.com/en/ with your design features and the possibility to share links for start-ups? Its free for start-ups (and they can share url links with their contacts) but once you have enough pitches, investors pay to browse through the platform and identify/contact projects relevant to their investments strategies.
There is something I don't get in this move. What's the purpose of Kim Yung-un? Is he mad enough to believe he can underdog the rest of the world with his dilapidated army? Does he believe that China will support him vs South Korea allies even if he launches an attack? Is it just a means to make the media of the rest of the world focus on him? Why? Does he want to be in position to negotiate an opening and say to his people: look and they are afraid of us and ready to talk? I rather believe in the latter option. Otherwise the only solution is to send him a sniper with a syringe of antipsychotics to pacify him.
I think these are good advises about the mindset you need to be a successfull entrepreneur. But I do believe you need even more luck if passion if your main driver. I admit you need to like what you do but if you want to create something big you need to have a business focused approach and constantly analyse/test how technology can transform your product into the best fit for your clients. To stick to this methodology you need more ambition than passion.
Interesting topic! From my own experience you indeed lose everything by not making clear cut choices. But "sacrifice" means you already consider the project you are giving up as a part of yourself. For me the best way to stay focused and in the same time not being frustrated is to set yourself deadlines on the projects you are on and avoid projecting yourself elsewhere until they are reached.
