Exactly, if it becomes truly meritocratic, I feel that there are enough qualified Asian (chinese/indian/other countries) applicants that 100% of the batch would be asian.
The pay for a new grad (even non US citizens) entering Amazon is 120k+. This not low at all. It should not be mind boggling why someone would choose to interview at Amazon.
