This is bullshit and again you blame the legal system without even trying it, as for the tech industry, just because you were assaulted in this industry doesn't paint the whole industry as worst than any other industry.
Personally, the last thing I want is someone who was repeatedly attacked to teach my daughter or my son how to behave in life. You obviously got no clue how to carry yourself around people, to be raped once is bad luck to be assaulted and raped so many times shows that something is wrong with you, not with the system. You were assaulted by different people and by the same people repeatedly as adults, a sane person would know how to prevent it, yes I blame you, the "victim".
The thing is, you were not raped, you invent this story for attention, that's why you go to the media rather than the police. I wouldn't let someone like you get close to my kids or to the education system, you are a danger to society.
According to your article your problems with sexual harassment started at age 14 and continued later for many years by many different people including multiple rapes. A sane person would go to the police and try to stop it. They will certainly not attribute it to the "tech industry" since it is started much before you have been involved in any industry and as we all know it can happen everywhere.
I got a feeling you made sure you go out with the story after the time to make a complain expired just so you won't have to actually prove that all the things you mentioned actually happened. I can't say it for sure but this is my subjective feeling.
You basically took your own personal experience and try to attribute it to all the faceless people in the industry, those people can't really defend themselves, what are they going to say? "We didn't rape anybody", after all you blamed the whole industry and by association everybody who is part of it. The same thing you did with your actual rapist, instead of bringing them to justice you have waited until you can't do it and now you can just spread rumours without any consequences.
Sorry, but I can't trust someone who doesn't want to go to the police but has no problem spreading it over the internet for everybody to judge. It makes the police to be some monsters who got no clue how to handle rape, which is simple defamation, it risks other women who now has to deal with a rapist going around freely because the "victim" here is too precious to do something about it. If a woman have no problem writing articles on the internet there should be no excuse not going to the police. I am sure by now people who worked with her knows anything about it, so there is no "reputation" excuse. This is not problem with sexism in tech, this is a heinous crime that should be dealt with like any other serious crime. This woman is just an attention grabber and nothing more than that, the rape claims are false.
Diversity doesn't bring anything, law or finance got more diversity than tech and yet they are one of the most stagnant and extortionist fields ever. The tech industry on the other hand is the most innovative and value creating industry of the last 50 years, all done by mostly man. So no, diversity doesn't magically create any "valuable perspective", the evidence is overwhelmingly to the opposite.
The reason there are no women in tech is because it's hard and they don't want to do it, same in physical jobs and in general in any value creating jobs as opposed to caring/service/value transfer jobs, basically the same things women used to do at home in the traditional family. Blaming the man in that industry as if they are worst than say lawyers or financiers or doctors is just bullshit and got no evidence. Women have made their choice, it is up to them to invest in studying tech and do something in the industry, stop shaming other people for women problems.
This girl is lying, the story doesn't make sense and everybody here are too nice to point it out so they try with this typical programmer passive nice way to point out how the story doesn't add up and how nobody actually faced this kind of environment anywhere.
Guys, have some balls, call bullshit when it's due. The tech industry is not more sexist than any other industry, the opposite. I have seen much more mischief in one coked up night among traders than my whole career in tech. And you know what, girls love those people and want to work with them or do other things with them, because they don't apologise and they call girls on their bullshit. That's why you will see more women in finance or law than in tech.
It's also easier and you don't have to spend your days and night secluded in front of a monitor. It is all excuses by women who don't want to put the time, effort and social price that it takes to become a good software developer. The women who do it right and i have worked with some during the years, don't complain about rape, they write great code and everybody respect them for that.
