Congrats on the launch! I've tried building a windows automation script myself but found existing solutions quite cumbersome booking appointments and fetching information on a desktop SMS.
Can I monitor/manage this remotely? I'm not on site with the client and previously tried to manage through AnyDesk but the client often turned off the machine.
Also is there anyway to run this so that it won't interrupt workflows while someone is using the machine? I imagine a solution could just be having the client run an extra computer that's dedicated for this or running after hours on the local machine.

Sortado is a chrome extension that adds a sidebar to your Google doc to make it faster to organize and find files. We’ve been using it at our company, and I wanted to take the product and make it available to others. I took notes from Notion’s sidebar, but I honestly just prefer the UI and accessibility of Google Docs, so wanted to customize it to make a better experience :)

py-imessage is a lightweight library you can use on your mac to send iMessages.
It was originally started to build an API for iMessages which anyone could pay for; however, Apple has fairly aggressive detection policies that make it difficult to scale.

Yes. There's a mac mini running which directly interfaces with the Messages app and underlying data storage. There's been a few synchronization problems, but for the most part the Messages platform is fairly robust. Unfortunately, there's a couple sleep statements that I had to write in for the short term, but there's a path to removing them in the long term.
Hey HN, proud to share balto, an API to send iMessages from a new phone number. I originally built this out to take advantage of the iMessage features (specifically read receipts and videos) after sadly learning that these features are severely limited when using Twilio or other SMS providers.
From there I went down a crazy rabbit hole, talking to apple support, shopping on eBay for an old iPhone, digging through poorly documented JXA (javascript to control your mac), and eventually landing on a MVP which today supports sending new iMessages from a custom phone number and looking at read receipts (if the other party has them turned on); with many more features on the way (think full videos, audio recording, tapbacks, group chats, etc.)

I'm flexible on monetization patterns for now, but if this were to take off, I'd imagine it'd be some sort of team-based pricing for teams heavily using it and introducing a collaboration-first experience.
Hey Jowsie! Yes, currently the files are hosted on just on a public s3 bucket, so definitely not the most secure, but maybe something to add in the future.
I haven't heard of ShareX so will check that out and definitely look into a self-hosted option.
I made this extension out of a frustration from working with my friend, sending screenshots without linking to the article (or design) where it came from. Screenshot HQ solved this by pulling the URL when the screenshot was taken.
In order to mimic our workflow as much as possible, it uses the open graph social html tags to load the screenshot directly on the page in Slack.
We're thinking about adding comment capabilities), among other features (i.e. automatically rendering a mobile, tablet, and desktop screenshot, immediately making the background transparent etc.) and would love any thoughts.
