Libel laws in the UK are way more problematic / idiosyncratic than law about "incitement to hatred", which are common (at least in Europe) and made to repress dog whistles.
edit: SLAPP suits are basically legal there, and often used to suppress speech or journalism which would be legitimate and even encouraged elsewhere.

Marketing on HN can be very powerful. The mindshare gain can be enormous. Niches in general are very rewarding if the underlying platform (Google/Facebook/Amazon/Ebay) doesn't deplatform you.
I don't have time to look it up but I'm sure minimaxir (Certified HN Influencer) has made a study on it.

yeah rip-off was harsh (ESL). I see now that the Apple Pay Cash name was in place earlier. Though the brand presence and ad campaigns for (Square's) Cash App means it's a bonus anyway.

Pay is the whole system of APIs used to pay via NFC or online, authed by biometrics (Touch/FaceID). As a user you just add your credit card and it works better than contactless credit cards.
Apple Card is an Apple credit card with cashback backed by Goldman Sachs. US-only.

which, as pointed out in its HN thread, means "we now know they got access to encrypted vars, and we don't know yet if they could have decrypted them." in BS-speak.
The title "We've Heard Your Feedback" is also a red herring, usually means "we know we fucked up bad and we still have no idea of the whole impact of the breach".
