Its rare for me now. Most by-hand stuff I do is setting up initial repositories and folders for the base structure I want, copying logos, assets, images, content, and then I tell AI to finish the rest for example.
Configuring secrets for CICD, .env files, hosting configurations/backups.
I see the argument here constantly "But ur skills!". OK. Well back to work actually shipping software using this new tool that is never going away. My client doesn't really care about my skills, just my speed and they have money for me.

My main project for my first three years at Anthropic, beginning in 2021, was to try and make a model that was as good at coding as possible— at least as good as me.
Same, I could have maybe justified $600 to my wife, $800 would be really pushing it. But 1k+ with a controller? There's no way when we have other things to save for. I am sure young single people will still buy it and it will sell out, but my Series X was $550 a few years ago and ill enjoy that in my living room for a while longer.
I have a new startup, it's been going pretty poorly. I think it serves a great market and could be useful if it could get in front of the right people. The problem with a lot of these sites is they won't allow you to shill and the ones that do require lengthy sign up processes or money. I tried to post to alternativeto but I had to wait 7 days! Because my account was too new. I considered AdWords but again I'd be paying hundreds or even thousands per month and I have no customers so it doesn't make sense to do that and idk if it would even result in any sign ups.
If we're doing conspiracy theories what if fable is really dumb and not better than opus and the guardrails hide that nicely. Meanwhile the hype train keeps chugging.
And in the before times, you learned a lot and walked away with knowledge on the deps needed, connections, .env secrets, and cleaned it all up and documented it so the next dev would have an easier time doing it.
Okay that thing is cool. I made my own a while back with Pi 4 running https://www.birdweather.com/birdnetpi and I made my own fancy microphones with solder and a fuzzy cover. Worked amazingly well.
I am going through this right now! I am provisionally approved and still waiting. Even worse I am going through SMS phone number verification with SMTP2GO.
Apparently if you wanna send automated texts in America, you need a real phone number. And to not get immediately blocked, you need to fill out a form that goes to the major carriers for approval (like AT&T). And the form is not unlike Paddle's verification. You need a company, EIN, samples of what your texts will look like. Massive pain.
"Just hold out until they are desperate enough that they HAVE to give you a large raise!" is laughable.
Every single day you don't quit and get paid what you are worth, is a day you are leaving money on the table. Imagine waiting years for that big raise when you could have left and made tens to hundreds of thousands more in that time.
