Imagine you find GPL incompatible code under Copilot. It might be a licensing nightmare. Also, for Windows and Mac programmers using GPL code without making your whole project GPL.

Copilot will be a suing-machine trigger everywhere.

While the aspect that the linux kernel will probably contain code made by ChatGPT sometime soon is interesting, personally I find it more interesting how Linus counts out the order of abstractions: machine code, assembler, C, Rust. Glad to see things moving in the right direction for once.
