I usually build things that I blatantly don't know how to do. When I was first starting in Ruby, that was a scraping app to pay my parking tickets (I never got a parking ticket again after completing the app, ironically).
I usually watch Railscasts and absorb some concept I have little direct interest in but I'm somewhat curious. Those concepts have a way of creeping back into the things I'm building for fun.
I don't think we've even scratched the surface of the things we can do with Twitter's API. After playing with tons of them, Twitter's potential to inform so many projects, publicly or privately, is huge. I love it.
I honestly haven't found a great one. I clicked this link expecting to half-heartedly recommend Flippa. I had mediocre results selling a few domains on there. Very quickly, domains get washed away. But I was selling semi-interesting domains, not projects that are growing.
I think there's an opportunity to create a marketplace that isn't a total sketch-town for transferring projects and products to good, new homes
Let me do some digging. I suspect not. I use Command + Tab to switch apps and then when I want to isolate I pull up my dock and click an icon (my dock is usually hidden).

Thanks! I didn't know about this. Personally, I like Single Application Mode so that I don't have to think about it. I throw every computer I have into Single App Mode when I get it.
Somebody make a teddy bear out of this material and put it on a mantle a la The Parent Trap. It'll look like Metal Mario from Mario N64 and will keep your house totally safe. Bonus points if you put a red headband on it or anything else to make it look like a ninja
