After 1.5 years, I tried working in office yesterday. The experience was horrible. Work conditions were inferior when compared to my home. Going to office and back home feels very inefficient and harmful to the environment.
Work results are only sensible measure for the work performance. Easy hire and fire is one solution. Also a short trial period at the start of the work agreement should show if results happen or not (fg. 4-6 months).
If the burden is unbearable a solution is easy - he can just give everything away. Usually problems of life are not that easy to solve. This was very childish for Notch.
I am now quite happy that I failed in the Amazon recruitment process.
Their guidance said that I should prepare couple of weeks for the interview. For me they gave one weekend which I had to use for the family event. Perhaps I was not engaged enough after all.
In Finland there is a collection of ancient stories or poems - Kalevala. It is something like Iliad and the Odyssey. Language of those poems is really something unique and exceptional. I have been always thinking that it is impossible to really translate it to any other languages. Probably same applies also to original greek works - we who have not studied ancient Greek, can read only bland versions of texts.
This will be the greatest art project ever about genuine finnish culture.
Almost every finnish man has lived this fantasy in the summer when he was 18. It needs also small town with girls - if you are drunk enough and your music from stereos is louder than anyone else's, they will come to back seat of your car for the drive.
Learning to code is not so hard, but learning to code well is extremely hard - almost impossible. I have been doing software development years and years also in some well known companies and I am not sure if I have yet met a good developer.
No thanks for offices.
