hey! that's a great question. Initially, we had multiple processes for every component (ASR, LLM, TTS) and using a configurable settings pair of endpointing and token_size we used to handle it since for some cases latency might be an issue but some some others (where there are longer responses) it might not be that much of an issue. Later on, we also integrated with caching and routing to minimize unnecessary calls.

What we have learnt is that big enterprises do not really want to use close source models due to the random bursts in usage which might drain their bills.
we have made an open source orchestration which enables you to plug in your own TTS/ASR/LLM for end-to-end voice conversations at -> https://github.com/bolna-ai/bolna.
We are also working on a complete open source stack for ASR+TTS+LLM and will be releasing it shortly.
We have been in a pretty interesting case where the forks/stars ratio has been > 30% and growing steadliy in this ratio.
We understand that stars might be a vanity metric and hence we are focusing more on the number of forks and talking to developers using us.
Wanted to know about the experience on stars v/s forks towards growing the community and the overall project as to what worked best and what things we can avoid. I do undertand that every use-case might be different.
I thought this was "conversational" where the end user was speaking and the form was automatically getting filled up. This was something which we were actually looking to build as a use-case on top of our voice orchestration @ bolna.
