Note that I think the BYD quote of 29 or 30k euros is including VAT [1] which is 21% in the Netherlands. On the other hand the quote given above as the starting price in the US for the Mach-E not include sales tax. In the Netherlands (trying to compare apples to apples), the Mach-E is being sold for €75200 [2]. Significant price gap in that market.
My laptop is a Dell Precision M4800 -- not the newest but is perfectly fast enough for what I need to do. I run KDE under X usually. Tried wayland for the first time recently and there was huge input lag with moving the mouse. I found it unusable. Other people have similar problems [1] [2]. For me at least wayland is a no go until the performance matches X.

I meant this comic to be a somewhat tongue-in-cheek parody of positions I have seen people take, which I intended the ellipses to hint at. Clearly there are some genetic differences between populations.
Race does not exist... therefore there won't be a genetic difference in average outcomes between different people groups. It is useful to think of variation from person-to-person but it is impossible to make comparisons between ethnic groups/races because no substantive differences exist among the various human populations. Probably the study results you reference are a result of different environments...
I feel that Windows 10 has an improved file explorer and file copying dialogs over Windows 7. In every other way I feel that I still prefer Windows 7 -- system stability, lack of apparent bugs, much more coherent settings functionality, lack of resource-consuming microsoft spyware (cortana), better built-in themes, messages from system are less annoying/"cutesy", ability to fully control updates, lighter and better built-in apps.
I think 7 still remains the peak of Windows and I agree with you that Windows 10 presents a lot of motivation to stick with OSS :)
Just a note: turblety's comment does not make any allegations to the effect that you can't /run/ compiled lazarus apps on macs, just that it seems hard to set up a lazarus dev environment on that platform.
So? You did not address the argument or the information presented, but rather went straight to attacking the messenger. Seems to me that the central thesis that renewables are increasing electricity costs even as main-stream journalists report that renewables are now getting cheaper than non-renewables and commonly say things like
"we are reaching a point where the new energy technologies are going to be cheap enough to drive a lot of the old coal-burning power plants off the market"
is correct -- or at least I haven't seen evidence to the contrary.
