Theoretically there will be a point (if not already) where its govt employees and contractors vs private citizens not tied into the system in a monetary way.
If you work for the govt in one way or another and your salary depends on it, or you're getting a handout, you're more likely to vote in a way that supports big government, programs, and the political body that enabled it.
A natural mechanism of taxing more, printing more, and handing that money to payrolls, contractors, and handout recipients who vote for it is a persistent trend and probably a systemic risk for a functioning private sector. And we see this in countries like Russia for instance where working for the govt means you have, while being a private citizen with no ties means you're most likely a have not.
Why YouTube has not been broken up in an anti-trust case to date is beyond me. They control 99% of the video streaming market with billions of users. Its the clearest monopoly in tech that exists.
Does this take into account federal loans and grants for infrastructure spending which is higher in urban areas? Probably not. Does it take into account that many left leaning states like NJ have completely bankrupt pension systems that will need to be rescued at the federal level? Probably not. Also looks like NY scores 38th on gov dependency out of 50 which isnt exactly great. And going back to national highway system assistance, Cali has got to be #1 in receiving federal funds.

The LA mayor is telling people to not walk outside because of covid. If thats not absurd big liberal govt policy idk what is. Who would want to live somewhere where the govt thinks they can do that. Your rights as a person dont vanish in a crisis.

Platforms like Facebook are not realistically opt-in. Thats actually why social networks work. Its a self-reinforcing mechanism that makes it punitive to leave.
