i think many people would want to live in manhattan.
there is nothing in LIC. it's all in manhattan. 90% of NYC is manhattan.
living near grand central and commuting over would be a great thing... heck, even getting a motorcycle and going under the queens tunnel every day wouldnt be bad either.
I will fight and die for the Five Eyes... The best, most sophisticated nations on earth. The Five British Countries: New Zealand, Australia, Canada, UK, US. Everywhere else? Protohuman. The Five Eyes combined with all other European nations are the best places to live on earth. We respect private property and human rights. Anglo Saxons for the win!
People don't realize only 15% of the world is free.
I agree with you. I know plenty of smart friends who have left the industry.
There's about ~9,000 hedge funds in the US, but I would personally avoid any fund with less than $1B+ in AUM unless you got several percentage points of the fund's profit generation or a chance to run a book. That takes the list down to maybe 600-750 hedge funds in the US that are worth working for... that list will probably get 50% smaller in the next couple years.
A lot of people are down this year against the S&P 500 up 10% and the Nasdaq up 20%
The West has now seen this behavior, and China will be walled off/bombed if things persist. We've already occupied the forbidden city once (100 years ago). We'll do it again.
Isn't the final evolution of the Web supposed to resemble this? Looks normal to me. This happened to radio and television.
As long as Amazon/Target/Walmart fulfill my shopping needs, and as long as YouTUbe fulfills my video needs, I'm happy. I don't need to worry about other, lesser services.
Frankly, white listing websites might make the Web much safer.
Another dumb article. No one will ever displace the West. Since Ancient Egypt, it's run the world. Egypt >> Babylon >> Greece >> Rome >> Britain >> America. In a nut shell, of course many beautiful western city states like Venice and Minoans. Not sure what's after America, but it's definitely not the PRC. That's some 1984 scary stuff. I'm sure America and China will meet head to head to settle the score at some point in the next 10-15 years. Democracy vs. Dictatorship.
Princeton NJ is a beautiful part of the state, and close to the university.
Not sure where you will live, but Nassau Street has a quaint charm. There's plenty to do, and you are a 90 minute train ride to Manhattan.
Don't let the comments discourage you. People are just blowing off steam from the roe v wade ruling.
