I find it interesting that it’s still getting a few github stars monthly[1]. I wonder if that’s organic discovery or an appetite for an alternative PHP?
Just a heads-up: I tried applying for a frontend engineering position locally in Denver, but the job application form only allowed for the selection of New York or Boston as the location.
The reception of this move appears to be... mixed[0]. As a Denver resident, I'm interested in seeing if this moves some larger offices out of Boulder and into Denver. Boulder seems to be suffering under the weight of zoning laws[1], but Denver seems to be capable of expanding, or at least adapting[2].
That's a logical pivot; I'm slightly surprised they didn't try beefing up their extended support or doing a soft rollout first. Did they lay any groundwork or expectations for migrating their platform?
It's also particularly interesting to compare this growth now with city desirability immediately post-recession: http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2009/01/29/for-nearly-half-of... . I can't say with any certainty that the desirability has gone up or down for people living outside the Bay Area, but this may be another "cycle" that San Francisco goes through.
