Take a vacation, and after a few days, think about what your mind naturally drifts to when there's nothing that you have to do in particular, and no special obligation. Maybe that will help point you in the right direction.
Nvidia benefits no matter what because their hardware is being used. Microsoft and Meta benefit by making sure that the gap between "Anthropic/OpenAI" and "everyone else" doesn't widen, or they'll be hopelessly dependent on those frontier labs.
The charging situation largely depends on where you live, as I see electric chargers all over the place (mostly shopping areas, but also at hospitals) and I don't even live in a big city. I don't know if that's true for your area, but Google Maps will usually show it.
For Laos though, I do hope they'll make sure to expand their charging infrastructure. I've heard enough stories of governments trying to push EVs but not bothering to provide the infrastructure for it or providing incentives for companies to do so.
Interesting, but it seems like this really only affects consumers, since commercial vehicles will still use diesel. And the fact that they're almost certainly going to get all their EVs from China... hmm, I wonder who or what really convinced the government in Laos to go for this?
Same here. Long before ChatGPT existed, I always associated em dashes with pretentious writers who chose style over substance, mostly as their writing had no real substance. That AI makes em dashes a faux pas in these days... it brings me a little joy.
It certainly looks cool (and I'm partial to the red one) but I do have to wonder how easy this would be to live with long term? Because I feel like it would be cool for a few weeks, but then what about after...?
Every time there's any news or rumors about a new Gemini model, I cross my fingers and hope that it'll be the one that finally catches up to other big AI coding models. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm hoping this time it will... :')
I also like the more browsers have built-in adblock, but so far I've never seen any of them copy uBlock Origin's "element picker" (the little eyedropper tool) feature... it's good for getting rid of annoying stuff on certain websites and only uBlock Origin seems to do it. :(
I think we have a sort-of-similar AI setup, except I use HTML files rather than markdown, and this is because I'm on macOS and it's easier to use "quick look" on HTML files than markdown (HTMl shows up nicely, markdown is just plain text). Also, I ask the AI to get rid of old documents and try to merge documents together, so that there's not as many documents cluttering up context.
As for motivation: I need to pay bills, all I can think is "I need to build more"... :'D
I had to look at my phone's backup settings just now, there's not really all that much being backed up but there's some apps that I had no idea were being backed up at all (and I didn't think they made much sense either).
Anyway, for anyone who's using an Android phone, this is probably a good time to check and see what's getting backed up to Google, because some of that stuff is probably not necessary.
