I don't get it. Stay on the version that you still think is good. Nobody forces you to update. Just don't update Hugo if you don't need its new features? We're talking about a static HTML generator here, not some backend server that needs security updates. Why is it so complicated for people to NOT do a thing?
They don't really override each other but they act like stacked barriers, like a garage door blocking access to an open or closed car. Access is granted if every relevant layer allows it.
Grief is complex and deeply personal, and is not about fitting someone else's expectations... Losing a dog hits different because their presence is so genuine and uncomplicated. They provide unconditional comfort. That connection is usually way less complicated than the ones with have with people.

Good job! Is the layer with the cities names supposed to appear too? I would have a lot more fun having only countries names appear on the globe and trying to guess the location of the city within.
I haven't tried Windows 11 but on 10, a lot of these tweaks and opt-outs are available in the system settings now.
You can backup the registry or create restore points but I don't think that you can selectively revert these changes like a commit. If you don't intend to reinstall Windows often, I would just take the time to go through these settings manually instead to be on the safe side...
Why not play and cheat in solo games if you are bad at multiplayer? Only having fun when others are not is a bit disturbing. You could create an AI to help you beat Dark Souls or something, then you would respect both computer learning and human beings...
