So he fosters competence with his incompetence? Seems like it would work just as well without him except for marketing. I'm impressed with Tesla and SpaceX as a whole, but from what I've heard, he hasn't been heavily involved with day to day decisions for more than a decade. From my perspective, his role is to be a hype man that consistently over promises and under delivers.
They just raised the price on my fixed for life deal from Century Link. If you look back, there's nothing in the documentation/terms that actually claimed it was for life. Super shady on their end and I'm going to switch to Google Fiber once they're finished installing it in my neighborhood (they're currently in the installation process)
Now that's a take I've never heard before. It'd be interesting to have an opt-in for sharing your medical history with entities, but there is no way in hell I'd be sharing information that is so easily weaponized against me.
I haven’t worked at sendgrid in years but when I was there they took spam reports very seriously and even a few reports would negatively affect the senders reputation.
I don’t see how your solution really fixes anything as the device would still have to be found for there to be any consequences. It seems like it might help with the blatant attempts described in the article where an AirTag was slipped into someone’s pocket, but I would probably never find a well hidden device glued to my car. I hope you do find a good solution though because I don’t want to pay a monthly subscription for a gps tracker for theft protection on my motorcycle. It would be nice to just be able to drop in a tile or AirTag and forget about it until I needed jt
Are there any demographics information about the people who spend a lot of money on microtransactions? There’s obviously a decent chunk of the population who does but Im not aware of anyone in my circles with this habit. Is it mostly children?
Probably not as much as you'd think. Ammonia is used as a refrigerant in a closed-loop system. You'll eventually have some leaks and have to recharge the system, but the ammonia isn't a consumable item in this process.
I agree for internal meeting, but in my industry where external meetings are a huge part of my job, it's meant way less driving to meetings for me which has been a huge boost to my productivity levels.
My experience with android has been the opposite. I’ve never had an android phone that lasted more than 2 years without becoming frustratingly slow whereas my iPhone 8 still runs as well as the day I got it. All anecdotal but I stick with what works for me
A tangentially related development recently has been peroxide generators to put inside buildings to generate enough hydrogen peroxide to sterilize the air/surfaces without being a health hazard. I've recently had a local school district request that we analyze these devices as an option for COVID mitigation: https://synexis.com/science/reports-data/
I really want one of these and I don't know why. I'm struggling to come up with uses for this other than for AirBNB style short term rental places or pre-planned communities for helping homeless people get back on their feet or something. Doesn't seem as portable as a mobile home, and doesn't really have enough of a rustic look for me to want to consider this as a cabin.
I feel like I'm missing a big use case here, but unless I planned to live in this full time, what are the benefits over buying a sprinter van or something.
I disagree. I've had extensive experience with both and ended up settling with IOS because of the "privacy", and longevity. Might have gotten better since my last experiences with android, but I'm still rocking an iPhone 8 which does more than enough for my needs, and my wife is still using an iPhone 6s which they announced will be getting the latest upgrade this year (7 years old now).
I know you can mess around with custom ROMs and all that to get more life out of Android phones, but now that I work full time I just don't really have the patience to be constantly tweaking things to have my phone work pretty well. It's actually kind of weird that I'm in this position because I used to be all about customization and huge into the Jailbreak/Rooting scenes.
