hmm, from what I have seen, $400k is usually their de-facto salary that gets junior folks (L4/E4) from F/G to make their top of market and move to NFLX. Beyond that, do you know how the comp progression is?
From what I have been seeing, the number of both Indian/Chinese students coming to the US for studying has gone down post the Trump administration. Also, I am seeing more Indian/Chinese folks going back home due to increase in engineering wages/opportunities. Of course, it's still not comparable to US but plenty-enough to live a very good life-style back home.
What was Github's current valuation? It seems that the last round valued them at $2b in 2015. Around ~3x multiple on the last round (~7.5b$). Hopefully, the employees are all happy!
Hmm, my experience with Lyft was slightly different. I went to past trips, clicked find lost item. The support reached out to the driver in 10 minutes and I had the driver at my door in a hour. Haven’t Lost an item with Uber though for comparison.
Usually the common stocks goes at a discount of around close to 15-20percent when compared to preferred for good deals. If the company is not doing well, the discount would be higher proportionally.
Please don’t spread FUD when you have no clue what you are talking about. Mesos core is certainly not legacy and has been on C++11 for a long time/is very well maintained and has a large active development community. In case a bug has fell through the cracks; kindly reach out on the user mailing list and I am reasonably confident you would get a response.
I couldn't understand the part about an employee and loosing my job. Are you saying that they won't be able to sell their equity even at a steep discount in 90 days? Even, if they incur a loss of ~30-40% over the current prevailing price; it would still be a fortune. They can easily do that to save on the tax or did you mean something else?
