Purely untrue for .xyz, which has an excellent anti—abuse program and scores equal or less than .com in abuse stats. Why would Square, Inc rebrand on block.xyz if that were true? Check it out :)
What about MetaMask, popular crypto wallet with a Chrome extension. The extension blocks viewing of "blacklisted" websites IN YOUR BROWSER... and the blacklist is entirely community-led. So a competitor can just easily add your website to the list. Example: metalmark.xyz
Try to visit it with the MetaMask browser extension added to your browser. They won't let you. Someone decided to block a small business, and for what? There's no evidence involved. Incredibly short-sighted of MetaMask to add this & randomly accept edits to the blacklist from the community without peer review.
Here's the thing - spammers will buy any domain & spam with it. What domain it is doesn't matter. The real question is why can't these email providers with their junk-blocking technology block the junk?
Completely blocking new domains on the whole is harmful and oppressive to those using them for legitimate purposes. Kind of crazy if you think about it.
This is awesome OP. The most missed metric in social platforms that I wish we could get is new followers vs lost followers vs total followers. Not sure if any social APIs support that anymore.
