this thing is a mobile app waiting to happen. everyone has trouble with the four: passive destructive, active destructive, passive constructive, and active constructive
i think the author of this post should watch 'House of Cards' on netflix. Human interactions (politics) are always based on being able to say things to others in private.
Not all that familiar with Freelancer but, if I was running a for profit business, I would feel free to experiment with pricing. If I wanted to raise my fee from $25 to $50 I think the serious reason would be, I want my business to be profitable. Sometimes when you first price something you are just kind of guessing what the correct price is. If you pick a number too low sure your customer might like it, but it may not be good long term for the business. So you have to iterate on price.
for years I tried to add various chemicals to my body to find a solution. it seemed obvious that I just needed to get the right drug at the right doseage and that would solve the problem. but the solution was exactly in the opposite direction. I didn't need to ADD things into my body to fix my brain, I needed to PREVENT certain things from entering my blood stream. diet is everything. food is medicine. food is so messed up in our society. to eat a healthy diet that will actually allow your brain to work and not get panic attacks requires EXTREME dedication and will power. AND on top of all that, you need to be social with your friends, family and co-workers and not make your special diet ruin the fun. Super challenging, but as I get older I find it's easier and easier to really carefully monitor each and every bit of food I put into my mouth. I won't bore you with the details but you probably already know, too much sugar, too many carbs, these things matter, a lot. Stop trying to fix big problems with band-aids when you've got to get to the source of the poison in your blood stream.
I meant, a common human question is "if there is a caring God, how can there be so much suffering in the world?" And maybe the answer is, human pain means nothing to him the same way computer generated rock pain means nothing to us.
after thinking about this one for a while, it occurred to me that this really helps illustrate the point of 'Life May Be A Computer Simulation'. Take this world creation a step further, and rather than teaching a computer how to create rocks, each one slightly different, imagine creating humans, each one slightly different. If you think about 'God' as just some alien programmer dude, it helps make so much sense of the world. How can a caring God let so many terrible things happen to us humans? Well, how much empathy do you feel about each rock in this program? When you click refresh, and create a whole new world, do you stop and think about all the exist rocks you are 'killing'? If we are living in a computer simulation, perhaps our creator doesn't even realize we are sentient?
Sometimes honest feedback from a stranger is just what the doctor ordered. I have no agenda here, this is just my honest opinion. This is a business with no market demand. Have you put up some static landing pages with a big call to action button and see how many people will actually enter a credit card? i.e. before you invest in this business, build a "fake" site that looks real enough, and buy a small amount of traffic into the site with google ad words and see what % of people actually want to pay for this service. (The people that actually do enter their credit card get a nice email saying, thanks, this service coming soon. And some are a little mad they were tricked, but small price to pay for this info.) I suspect the conversion will be very very low. My boss would never let me pay for this service. He'd say, just figure it out yourself or wait for the free answer on SO.
