I find starting something is easier than closing / shutting it down. We know several metrics to start something. Demand, high chance of success in the future, niche market, etc. But how do you think about shutting down something? I mean, how to distinguish "failure", "must struggle a little bit more", and "buying more time"?

I wonder, how does nginx and haproxy handle long/persistent connection session? The connection itself can't be terminated since there is actual client, established connection with a backend beneath. Will the reload be failed? (Something like, "connection termination timeout; can't reload; try later"). For web workers probably we won't see this; for most of the time, the connection is terminated after request done.

Great explanation. Thank you very much. However, it raises question for me:

- So "Hash" it combination of Block Number, Nonce, and the Data? - If "mining" means computing the Nonce, what is the actual data to be hashed? - For Coinbase case, is it the data is the miner's Coinbase Account? So that if mining successful, the miner will get the "money"? If so, how do the first miner advertise the result so that the other peer can trust that the first miner actually get the money?
