When that happened to my WRT54GS, I managed to downgrade to an older Netgear firmware that did not do this check. Then, from the older firmware, I could flash DD-WRT, no problem.

I now build routers / firewalls with a free OS to ensure I do not get burned again.

I now use rubber[0] to avoid this. I especially like that it has a --clean option :)

I, too, would like 2FA for my email account(s). So I wrote Migadu support and got a quick and reassuring reply:

We'll add 2FA in the near future. We were unaware of the great demand for it. :)

Agreed. However, I really miss that I can not navigate with any keys, mouse only...
