I agree. I’ve been using pgtyped for a recent project, along with https://github.com/graphile/migrate for migrations, and it has been great to just write SQL and not have to battle with an ORM’s abstractions.
I had written a similar program for US supermarket Publix, however I used it as an exercise to learn puppeteer[0] rather than using their private API directly.
The Data::Tersify documentation mentions that it only summarizes if the object is “not the root structure passed to tersify (so if you actually to want to dump a complex DBIx::Class object, for instance, you still can)”.
However, clicking the link to “Latest Version” at the top of the document you linked (from Dec 2015) takes you to the document I posted (from Aug 2014) so…who knows? It will require some testing to see what the browsers have actually implemented I guess.
