I can only imagine this going horribly wrong. Like when Explorers visited cultures which had been isolated from the rest of the world, not having developed antibodies against a simple flue and getting infected.
> The Error function is a potential XSS vector if a user can control the error message. For example, an http.FileServer when given a request for this path
I am just curious, but since when do you return the err of a go standard library function directly to the user? Maybe that's just me but I never blindly return errors "internal" functions throw. That's like running php with E_ALL and printing every warning to the users browser in my honest opinion.
For me it's quite the opposite. I do alot of exercise, and I am generally more hungry / in need of calories in comparison to a week when I did not so much excersise.
A few months ago I checked out several Graph DBs and my conclusion was, if you want proper drivers you are best suited with Java, because those DBs mostly have a driver based on this "Tinker" and "Blueprint" stuff.
Neither does the argument of the "patriarchy" which if you go after the graph would have suddenly appeared in 1980 and only in CS domain. This whole discussion is so black and white. One person claims it's 100% natural, the other claims it's 100% not natural. Why can't it be 50% natural and 50% biased? Why is there no fine grained discussion, still...
I laughed when he said that we as consumer want to control technology rather than being controlled by it. Well I think the iWatch is quite the opposite. Because someone is pressured to check 10 Apps every X minutes, he buys a Display he can wrap around his wrist to save the step of grabbing the phone. For me this is really quite the opposite of gaining control.
My only problem with this is, that GMOs might be safe, but companies always try to min/max and modern diets show how man cheap bad chemicals land in our food, just to sell more of it, not regarding what effects it might have on our health.
It's about making safe GMOs. I am sure it can be done, but I am very unsure if it's going to be done.
The damage does not just come from taking too much, it also comes from consuming "synthesized" Vitamins. Many ingredients aren't close to the quality of vitamins in natural food.
Depends on the angle. I would say if it comes to Tinder all you get is a picture. So the only metric is the body-form-shape-sizes etc. If the size of some body parts can be measured with the submitted images I see nothing wrong here. Wallet thinkness and status are not represented in our data (image), so it would not make sense to include those metrics, since its out of scope.
I just looked up side-effects of testosterone, again to be sure. Why is this article on the top of HN. It's basically promoting use of a drug with well known side effects which can cause serious damage to your health.
I never get it when people try to reinvent the wheel with JavaScript. Especially on the desktop. Please show me real world benchmarks, where JS apps are not extremely bad in comparison to C++,C# whatever static typed compiled languages.
