Headphones is a pretty good self hosted app that lets you know when artists in your library have something new coming out . It’s made for snagging music but I use it for discovery mostly
I’m not sure about other states, but in Kansas you can sleep it off provided that your keys never go into the ignition. Not sure how this works with keyless ignition now though.
Hitachi makes some, I have one and it has been great. Before I found their dumb model I was looking at broadcast monitors which were much more expensive and didn't have TV tuning ability or speakers but checked all of the boxes that I wanted with a screen.
The constant threat of veto due to this has repeatedly shut down legislation on this a number of times now. It's was overruled and vetoed once already.
Our main problem is that Brownback, refuses to budge on it. There are also quite a few of our state legislators that own fill as Schedule S corps and therefore pay no state income tax, they have no reason to even try and repeal it.
Many of the staunch far right were ousted, but we have a long way to go. We currently have 1 month to find $800m and Brownback refuses to even put the tax exemption on the table, which would raise about half of our shortfall.
Most likely, we'll have higher regressive taxes (again) next year. For example lookup Kansas' food tax rate, it's one of the highest in the nation.
regarding 2... I know that some schools have purchased them for their students along with an insurance plan that covers loss or damage to the device itself. They also were able to filter the ability for the students to install apps and access to the default apps (youtube was removed example).
