ChatGPT is a wrapper to the GPT Completion API with some sane defaults. With a new beta feature you can edit the system prompt via ChatGPT, but you still can't adjust the other parameters you can reach with the API.
This type of interaction is exactly why I stopped running communities online. People thrust their expectations upon you and then expect you to do either mental labor to meet those expectations, or emotional labor to make amends for not meeting their expectations that you never consented to in the first place. It burnt me out very quickly.

In this day and age we generally try to eschew gender roles. People who want status will seek status regardless of their gender or relationship status.
IMO most people are pretty clueless and self-absorbed (myself included). This guy is just pretty open and honest about it. And it's not like he didn't learn his lessons. That bit about realizing how Martin wasn't on his personal expedition was a pretty powerful growth moment.

:D I don't actually care about hibernate. But after it came out on Windows and worked well enough, and Linux started introducing it, it became a meme to laugh at how bad linux suspend/hibernate is
My stock Ubuntu LTS desktop crashes all the time, about 3x a week. Still can't figure out why.
I love linux, have used 4 different distros as my daily driver for the last 15-20 years or so. Yet still my linux-using friends and I have this joke: 'but will it hibernate?'

a) it's not obvious and b) it's not extreme. Apple products work smoothly for most people most of the time. We're on hacker news where the entire point of this forum is the selection bias around tech stories like this.
I read the TBP trilogy a few years back, and I can't stop thinking about The Dark Forest. That's one of the marks of a great book, IMO. I can't get it out of my head.
