==================
We at EventMobi develop an event technology platform to help events & conferences create their own mobile apps, event registration, live polling, gamification, and more to manage their events more easily.
We’re not your typical startup, we’re completely self-funded with a team of ~55 in Toronto and Berlin and yet with no outside capital we’re massively profitable and on an incredible growth path with companies like Intel, Disney and the LinkedIn using us for their event app needs.
We use a distributed SOA architecture exposed through a (Python) RESTful API to feed our Node & AngularJS applications – from our mobile apps, to the app-building services, real-time chat / mapping services and tons more.
In the past year we’ve more than tripled our growth & our software now services 5000+ events and millions of users worldwide. We’re expecting that growth to continue again (while still being bootstrapped with no funding) and if you are interested in helping us scale, and meet the next set of challenges, let’s chat!
We're a very fast-paced company, and we need energetic, creative individuals looking for an opportunity to grow with a young startup, get your hands dirty, and provide your insight in all aspects of cloud services, mobile and web development, and help with every aspect of a startups’ technology infrastructure. Hopefully you also have some familiarity with our tech stack - Python, AngularJS, NodeJS, MySQL, Redis, WebSockets, RSpec, Docker, Ansible as our main tools.
I guess that depends on the culture on your team and something to assess for yourself if it would be appropriate. I wouldn't give it a second thought with the people on our team!
It definitely does help that we have a younger demographic. That being said our oldest colleague is in his 50's with kids, and we had 3 new fathers in their 30s as well so it's definitely doable.
We also structured the days pretty well so although everyone on the team has different hours normally, they were willing to put up with a strict schedule we put together for the them during that week.
Had a look but couldn't quickly see if this supports Gettext? As you build out an increasingly large app and i8n is important to you, using a standardized i8n process makes your life significantly easier than managing lists of strings.
We've been using angular-gettext[1] along with Transifex and it's made a significant impact our development and translation management.
We at EventMobi develop a suite of platforms to help events & conferences create their own mobile apps, event registration, and more to manage their events more easily.
We’re not your typical startup, we’re completely self-funded with a team of 35 in Toronto and Berlin and yet with no outside capital we’re massively profitable and on an incredible growth path with companies like Intel, Disney and the Internation Olympics Committe using us for their mobile event app needs.

Adding to this list is EventMobi[1]. We help over 4000+ events & conferences in 25+ countries create cross-platform apps for their attendees.
We've grown our team to about 35 people across our Toronto (HQ), Berlin and Virginia offices and are planning to grow to about 60 people by years end.
We just hit our 4th birthday a week ago, and are now expanding to providing the complete toolset for event planners to help make planning, running, and gather data about events easier.
I also have a Raspberry Pi powering our dashboards but it really struggles to render some javascript, especially if we switch between tabs every 30 seconds. Any ideas for the cheapest possible way to power the TVs other than a Raspberry Pi?
