63 year old said that. How about in honour of the different time we stop bothering to keep the elderly alive. I feel sorry for them for not getting the health care that they need, but it's a different time.
I'm not convinced that is sufficient. Facebook at 80% isn't really any different than facebook at 99, or whatever. Google has a viable competitor in Bing, but google still dominates search to a massive degree.
I'm leaning towards yes on this. The tipping point for me was Google (near monopoly in search used to push a dominant share of the browser market, and a dominant share of mobile) and their ad blocker plans.

uh, what exactly is wrong with that? Have we become so pathetically PC that a man can't admit a reason for working out is to improve his sexual prospects?
You could pay them minimum wage and then withhold some percentage to cover costs.
You could take some of the money and put it into an account, so when a person gets out they have a bit of money to get basic necessities while they try to reintegrate.
For people who are getting out the focus should be more on making sure they learn to function in society.

Read literally any reddit thread where the criminal is convicted of child rape. You have people wanting the state to kill them, people wanting prisoners to kill them, cheering for prison rapes, etc...
Slaves alternatives were absolutely brutal as well. I'd rather do the work than get whipped or hanged, but having those as my only choices is the real problem.
These people are being punished, so limiting there options to work or be bored is reasonable. But that doesn't really excuse using them as slaves.
