There are probably 100x more servers sitting in server farms running websites (and burning power) than need to be because companies would rather hire 10 cheap Ruby or PHP programmers than one "expensive" Erlang/Elixer programmer. So there is some harm to bad programmers, even for non-critical websites.
You know, I'd love to see the Windows UI and experience on top of a solid Unix API. In fact, they can easily implement a full Linux API on top of the Windows API. Sort of what Apple did with Mach/NeXT.
Microsoft could embrace and extend Linux and legitimize it.

ummm...aren't we supposed to fail fast!? Imagine the time and effort wasted for a small company to have focus groups on its logo. Now they can tweak it, and they have a funny story, to boot!
I would have liked to see them account for obesity, too. With more than 2/3 of our population overweight or obese this may have an effect.
Sadly, our current education system cares more about "anorexia" and "body image" issues (that maybe kill 1,000 people/year) than obesity which directly kills 300,000 Americans a year.
