I love the idea, it will make corporate world much better places to work for most of corporates out there, it also encourages ideas of each individual, and cultivates creativity. However, i think its insane to use a software/ IT product to take the power off those politicians, and create democracy within the corporate world. My best wishes to you, kabuks.
head-start in IT is a great thing to do for your kids, but more importantly is providing him a great living environment that cultivates creativity. Let him decide what he wants to be based on his own interest. I know alot of kids grew up learning musical instruments, and developed great skills, won competitions and etc, but never followed up that career after they came out of college.
Have you ever seen people/group of friends in the bar or at other social occasion, taking out their phones and start fiddling with Facebook for hours? I've seen many. On the upside, i think it does help people connecting with their friends. As much as it does, it's a site where you see your friends' photos, that's about it!
Can I also suggest that we all wear white t-shirt or something that we can easily identify each other rather than blindly walk up to anyone in the bar IMO?
Nice to meet you, netcan. I'm in Melbourne, started my online toy store venture 2 years ago for about 1 year and half, did alot of web site development back there and it failed. still following up my dream to be a great entrepreneur. Keep your spirit up, you will get there. :)
Simon Sinek, the discovery that pinpoints out the difference between why->how->what and what->how->why. For most of entrepreneurs out there, I think this is worthwhile watching if you haven't seen it before, because its a great brainstorm session! :)
I gotta say many people i know were easily fooled by the looks of that screen, especially this female friend of mine who was panicing so badly after she saw the screen and quickly clicked on it, and I wasn't even fast enough to stop her.
mellery451 has pointed out the idea on starting with something I am comfortable with so i can build my app/project within the minimum timeframe/cost. On the thought of ASP.NET MVC, would you be able to clarify further what you meant by underrated? As in terms of amount of users, or something else?
I guess the only reason that lured me in when I first started was the separation of view, model(data) and control that allows you to put things at where it should be, and as a result of that, it helps for further maintenance. I know there are alots of open source frameworks out there that also incorporate MVC concept which really re-emphasise the importance of separation.
