As someone who is currently in the SEO mix and using an SEO vendor, I'll take this opportunity to pick your brain for a single question. What would you consider to be the most important/valuable KPI? For some context, our SEO rep currently touts "number of new leads" as most important due to more people knowing about us, and we think "number of conversions" is more important due to ROI.
Not sure that was really an exit story, but this seems just like a way to get more links to that "Instabuck" company that they're working on now.
MonitorSEO seems kind of fishy too.

Funny looking at MonitorSEOs testemonials. I followed this link (https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/89-and-you-will-have...) and some of those who apparently love the product, has only written 1 or two posts...
a blogpost that says nothing with a headline that does not make sense about a blogspam service with a not really working unecessary monitoring service attached, on HN. good work guys. and: god, i hate SEOs.
It's services like this that ruined the reputation of an entire industry. In the same way that all scammers rely on the ignorance of others MonitorSEO is no different and relies on this myth that SEO is some voodoo magic.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that this service is NOT something you want to be associating your business with.
In fact if you are currently working with any SEO provider right now where one of you KPIs is the number of links that they get you, I beg you to walk away from that today, it's a ridiculously short sighted and horrible plan.
