Ask HN: How to Buy a Secure Printer?

What is your threat model?
Without an accurate assessment, "secure printer" is security theater. Good luck.

I would drop every wireless feature, connect it via lan to an vlan that can be reached to other vlans, but no internet access. The vlan is assigned via the router and is enforced by it.
I understand that I don't want the printer to be exposed to the internet.
But is it safe when the printer is only in the local network?
Is there such a thing as a bluetooth only printer, to avoid having to connect it to the wifi?
Any other security consideration when buying a printer?
Thanks!
