ChatGPT tells compelling stories. It does forget the Pokemon I've caught. When it forgot that I had befriended Mewtwo right after beating Misty and set off on an epic quest to help Mewtwo discover who it really was, that was pretty devastating. But a friendly reminder and it carried Mewtwo through the rest of the story with me. Every once in a while, when GPT hadn't mentioned Mewtwo for a handful of responses, I gently reminded it that I was traveling with Mewtwo to restablish the story.

But the world was rich and full of wonder. I'd play through again and do more exploration next time. It's a pretty high-fidelity world that it builds/describes. The part where I stumble across the Clafairy circle underscores this - it felt like I had discovered something really special.
