This reminds me of how metric-driven companies can go off the rails when they over-optimized for metrics that almost, but not perfectly describe their actual goals.
I've been thinking about using scalaz for a while now. My main concern about the above pattern is the type complexity that will arise. I would love to learn more about monad transformers and how they help out with that issue.

I've used JCrop pretty extensively, and my only issue with it is that it returns slightly different coordinates on different browsers. It's even possible to coax it into returning coordinates outside of an image.
Aside from that, it's pretty awesome, easy to use, and customizable.
I would like to see an A/B test with and without that chart to see what the difference in donation rates is.
I think the chart probably helps, but always better to gather data right?
