Groklaw had a clear bias and that could be corrected for. Their clear explanation of legal minutiae such that even a layman could understand it, and their attention to detail is why I follower their coverage.

A sizable* chunk of society? We're talking about "social conducts or rules defined by society" here. They may make no sense, you may not like them, but you still have to live in a human and social world.

How else would you indicate strong disagreement with a comment given the HN culture of well thought out replies and a zero cost binary device for weighing in on an issue, when you have nothing else to contribute other than "I disagree"/"I do not like your post"?
