I'm curious about the steps taken actually. Are you approved in the State of California by the state board as a fuel delivery/transportation company? Do you intend to go to court if not?
I absolutely hate the dark pattern of fully controlling your subscription online, including changing it to a different service, but canceling requires a phone call during very specific business hours where you are very likely to forget.
It's disgusting and way too many companies are utilizing these tactics rather than building a solid business model.
More companies that are doing this should be called out. Ive seen naturebox, justfab and others just to name a few.
The plastic bag ban was one of a handful of regulations that made a HUGE difference to the health of the bay's ecosystem. Paper will at least disintegrate over time in the bay's water. Plastic does not.
You should really look at the effect and reasoning of some of these regulations rather than handwaving them away as 'bad government regulation'
A 13,000 pound rated rope for a world record where some subset of 2300 people were pulling on it means there was only enough room for each person to generate between 5 and 25 (500 people) pounds each before the rope would snap. I would expect a heavy weight construction company to be able to handle basic math.
This reads like the exact sort of mission statement that is passed from HR and is defined as the company 'culture.'
Culture is something built from the top down and must be prevalent as an absolute deal breaker in each and every hiring decision.
What I mean by this is if you aren't asking the question 'Is this someone I want to work/have lunch with?' during the interview process then you are going to bring people in who won't be a proper fit. As a byproduct of this, there needs to be a decent amount of time just getting to know the person before hiring them where no interview questions are asked.
This is not even a project, it's a shell of nothing. This is equivalent to building an entire blog around one seo phrase and writing junk so you can get money from adwords.
Blocking people like that would simply let people compare two lists and give you confirmation on who that person is from the discrepancy. That would be bad.
I don't think you need to actually get a hold of the person you want to talk to on the phone. Simply initiating contact like this outside of a job posting will show that you are extremely interested.
I'm honestly afraid this is going to turn into another ridiculous partisan battle in congress that ends up with a terrible solution because of infighting.
