If you get used to this way, using email to read web articles, you can use it to navigate web pages in mailbox. For example, send anything to [email protected] to get hack news, and click & send mail to read each articles.
Send email message to [email protected] , with a URL in subject line. Then you'll get a readable email of that web page. You can read it offline on mobile mail client. That's how I read long web articles these days.

One of my side project is trying to make email as a web portal, that is, letting people do as many things as possible in email -- http://snipek.com. Well, I dogfood this project a lot in my daily life :)
1) Readability inside email (http://snipek.com/read). Send a url to [email protected] and you'll get a reply with readable content of the web page. And it becomes a way to navigate through links in email. You send a link to [email protected], then you'll get the content of the web page in email, without leaving mail client to browser.
3) Create web page for your email messages, so you can share the web page on social network (http://snipek.com/web) -- forward any message to [email protected]
What's the most creative spam you've received? Forward that spam message to [email protected], and you can get a URL for that spam mail and share here.
When you get the content after sending 'hn', you can click on the title of each article, which will let you send out another mail with title 'read' to read the article.
