As a native southerner I find it highly annoying when folks come in from elsewhere to complain about things that are very new to them. The lack of sidewalks amongst other things is something that we/I have always dealt with, know how to get around it, and we just handle it. I'd rather see infrastructure dollars go to fix the abysmal traffic here (also caused by the major influx of folks coming to Atlanta for the jobs). Let's fix the real problems first, then accommodate our new residents with their comparatively petty wants.
Did you know that some (and I think all?) of Sierra Nevada's brews are bottle conditioned? Which means that there's a tiny bit of attenuated yeast in the bottom. Create a starter from this, find a clone recipe (they're out there) and you can have a very close match to their product.
The caption really dates the article: "Every era has its defining drug. Neuroenhancers are perfectly suited for our efficiency-obsessed, BlackBerry-equipped office culture."
Now I'm bitter.
EDIT: clarification
