Going to be really difficult for Palm to compete in the tablet market given their industry instability. They contacted us about getting our game onto an HP TouchPad -- then promptly announced their discontinuation (???).
Plus, Google has already given me a free Galaxy Tab (for attending Google I/O). Among that and my iPad, it's pretty easy to guess which I'll be hacking on.
The moment I wake up, I very often have some idea in my head that I want to jump on immediately. Knowing that I have limited time before I need to commute stymies my ability to harness that energy.

I'm one of the Lost Decade Games guys, we used the Game Closure SDK for our game Onslaught!, which is what allowed us to release on both iPad and Android. Really amazing SDK, makes cross-platform development fun and easy.
I've been running iTerm and MacVim in fullscreen mode and that alone has done wonders for my productivity. I like the idea of closing Adium and the mail app, but I just don't know if I could do it! I feel paranoid when they're not open.
That says there might be a need for it, but on the downside it's really simple to build, so competition can spring up very quickly.
