A pretty common solution is to put the keyword phrase first, followed by the brand name. Using a pipe between them garners a higher CTR in some cases for unknown (to me) reasons. That's how they do it here on HN except they put the brand name first. Either way.

I would re-purpose the apps for other platforms that are easier to monetize. Specifically, I'd make it a monetized app on Conduit.com and I'd make a smart phone version and sell it on GetJar.com.

I think charging people to create games and letting anyone play for free is probably preferable to letting people charge users. Virtual currency is a great way to do this although you may consider doing it inside Facebook to accelerate that process. Making your own currency is tough unless you plug into a platform like Viximo. Commercial sponsors for content requires pretty enormous scale to be viable, the first 2 are probably better options.

In that case my pragmatic side says to approach some educational institutions and see which they'd be more likely to buy.

That cap helps avoid the conflicts of interests that arise between a VC and a company in the eventual valuation of a company. Meanwhile standard equity financing sets strict parameters on the companies valuation, gives investors legal sway with the direction of the company, and has legal fees that can reach $40k.

That monetization strategy makes sense, though I'd find out what such institutions are looking for in writing software before going too far.

I'd suggest refining who your target audience is. Writers and readers is far too broad. Having a better sense of who would use this will help you develop and position the product much better. As it stands, when I hit the site I can't tell if it's for adults or children. The answer is probably both but when you go to start marketing this you'll have to choose one.

This is an interesting concept that I think needs more structure. It suffers the same problem that FourSquare did initially, there's nothing stopping people from gaming the system. It's also not obvious what you're supposed to do or how it works. The same framework could be simplified and used to allow people to make leaderboards for whatever they want. That could be interesting and is a concept people would easily grasp. You could also have games where people submit photos or videos or whatever the game requires and have others vote on them, which would be the score. Just some ideas that I had while perusing the site. I can see that there's value here but it hasn't been unlocked yet. Also, how would you monetize this?
