I feel like each time I get an endorsement from someone who I haven't worked with or can't properly judge my skill, they really are just giving an endorsement so that I will endorse a skill of theirs.
I have a galaxy nexus and I love the idea behind NFC. Right now it feels like a gimmick because there really aren't places that take google wallet where I normally shop, and not many friends have NFC enabled devices.
That being said, I am really excited for NFC to grow.
Someone should kickstart a project that is a usb NFC phone sync tool. I think HP just announced a computer with a feature similar (the spectre?).
Vim. I enjoy the flexibility, macros, and great snippets. I am also able to code new features and tools for myself to use making future coding quicker.
As an example, the last company I worked at, our main customers were home contractors and other DIY type people and IE7 was a large portion of the market share.
My best advice is to build a product and check analytics to see how many customers are actually using older browsers. If it's a small group, its probably not worth the effort to make sure everything is ported over. Sometimes it can also be difficult to test older browsers without spending a bunch of time setting up VM's.
For my own personal projects, I dont even fully support IE7.
Also allows you to upload SVG files to create your own fonts. I have had mixed results with the upload, but I plan on using this for most of my upcoming projects.
