Of course everyone copies but if Apple does it they're called genius innovators while others are called thieves. See "Redmond, start your photocopiers." and reread the article.
I think people's problem is that, beyond the copying, its the articles like this calling Apple and innovative geniuses and worshipping them for the redesign and implying only Apple can do such great innovations.
Please show me examples of articles calling inspired copies as great innovations.
Read the article, there is no mention of "Content over Chrome" or "Authentically digital" principles that Microsoft built Metro on. Its all about Apple and Ive's superb genius and innovation.
