If JD is so great, why do people complain about them and lobby for laws against the worst of their behavior?
If the Farm Bureau is so bad, why doesn't JD simply leave the US market, instead of corrupting that bureau to their own ends?
If you're playing a game, and you think the only moves available are "buy" or "don't buy", while your opponent uses a plethora of other moves, you will lose, and lose bad.
Without immigration, they will be forced to fix their broken system that has resulted in far-below-replacement fertility. With immigration, they can persist with this soul-crushing work schedule, while their native population dwindles.
There is not some fixed amount of work that needs to be done (in Korea specifically, that cannot be outsourced), and Korea simply doesn't have enough people to do it. In fact, if that were the case, then workers would have the advantage in negotiations, and could paradoxically bargain for better working conditions.
Let's not pretend manipulating data to get the outcome you want, and manipulating data to to make it more accurate (e.g. compensating for biased sampling) are the same.
That the data isn't perfect when you get it is not a justification to further falsify it.
With literally zero information or reasoning given by eBay, one can always invent a justifiable cause for eBay's actions out of thin air. Given their behavior, do they deserve this much benefit of the doubt?
Absolutely not. It is obvious that different sales channels have different overheads, that should be reflected in the price. E.g. shops owned by farmer co-ops are able to offer lower prices because there are fewer middle-men taking a cut.

When considering this question, one should be careful to distinguish between how many lives are saved with "the society we are currently, but without liberty or privacy", and with "the kind of society we will become if we lose liberty or privacy".
Lives "saved" are also a poor metric. How much is a life worth, spent inside a cage? Many would be willing to risk death for liberty. In fact, they have.
