The video ad is so crazy -- we still need a human to lock/unlock the cargo?? and its good for the truckers because they can go home early to their family??
The first part can be trivially automated and the second is just stupid. Truckers get paid per hour of work, less work == less money.
AI-self-driving has arrived but to make the transition look "humane" as in the AD is crazy. Almost insults the intelligence of these guys who have been driving our cargo around for whole generations.
I bought their device after I saw it at DEFCON and there is some good value addition in there with custom sniffer programs, channel hoppers etc. You could set some of it up yourself but I think getting it to work stably will be an issue. They've tied everything in pretty well.
Personally - it rids me of the pain of having to install Vmware, Kali and and have na external Wi-Fi card. I manage Wi-Fi deployments and this is easy to use with Wireshark.
I remember them mentioning at their DEFCON booth that a 11ac version (5GHz) is launching sometime soon. Waiting for it!
I got this after I saw it at their booth at DEFCON 25 last month. Good product especially if you just want to do Wireshark analysis without getting into the hassle of setting up a VM and external USB Wi-Fi card which supports monitor mode.

The truth which a lot of Moxie fans don't want to admit is he thinks there is nobody better to be entrusted with this project. I don't think this was ever meant to be a community project -- he just opened some parts so he could pretend it is. Also he is a limelight hogging security diva who always wants to be in the news and have people talk about him. If he allowed others to contribute and be recognised, he worries they might overshadow him.
A developer who has so much time in hand that he spends his time playing challenges all day is likely to not be "good" or "great" anyways. I've always found these challenge sites to be stupid and would never wanna work for a company who demands a good HackerRank or a good karma score on StackOverflow.
The truth is Airbnb should have been nothing more than a hotel room marketplace like booking.com - instead they used this "innovative" but completely illegal way of booking "rooms". If all the hotels did the same and stopped registering, paying for licenses, inspections, maintaining safety standards etc. I am sure they could easily undercut airbnb.
