An RTS we developed just recently (Iron Harvest) is still based on the same basic principle. But instead of peer to peer we use a "smart" proxy server that receives the commands of all clients and sends the entire sequence back to the client. That way if one client has a high ping the other players latency isn't affected.
The headline 'Bullshit-sensitivity predicts prosocial behavior' contradicts the summary from the abstract where it basically says: Profoundness-receptivity has a positive association with prosocial behaviour whereas bullshit-receptivity has a negative association with prosocial behavior.
So if you go by the abstract the results match your intuition!
That explains a lot. I really can't relate do other coffee drinkers describing their experience. I often drink 0.4 liter of black coffee to get rid of the late evening sleepyness when I want some hours of productive free time for gaming or programming before bed. When I try to sleep ~3h later the effects of the coffee are largely gone and I fall to sleep within 5 minutes. I guess I've got a lot of that enzyme. ;) (which is nice)

I agree. The CDU became more and more liberal and conservative positions now get represented by a new party. It shows that the democracy is healthy even if I would never vote for them, personally.
Wow, this is mind blowing. 10% interest rates are really, really high in the current state of economy - they don't become a great deal just because there are credit cards with even worse conditions. I don't have a problem with borrowing money when I need it. I'm indebted for the years to come because I needed a 200k loan to buy a house. But that's okay because I'm paying 1.2% APR on it. This is far less money than I would have to pay to rent a house so it's a great deal. I've not even used all the cash I have when buying it because some of it yields higher (guaranteed) interests then what I pay for the loan. So there's still a lot of wiggle room for emergencies. And this is the first time that I hear that you need to have a history of loans to get large loans. What a devious system... I have a VISA credit card too, because it's convenient to pay with, but I don't pay any interest on it. I just pay a flat fee per year for the service and they settle the balance each month by direct debit authorization. (Sorry for the bad english)
I assume that you had a TV before you upgraded, too? And the one you bought and used for a year is now one year closer to getting replaced. You lost more money then the 72$ depending on how often you replace your TV. In the end you can afford to replace more things more often when you don't have to pay interest on loans.
You're cynical. The tone of the open letter is nothing compared to the tone of your comment. If you truely believe that we Europeans aren't living in a democracy anymore and that politics shouldn't be about the peoples wellbeing in the first place then stop worrying about PEGIDA or Dschungelcamp and do something about that. You stance of "this is how the world works and I'm lucky to be on the winning team" is both short sighted and highly egoistic. I would be ashamed if many of our "fellow germans" would agree with your point of view.
