In my experience, it's only relative to the speed of the server that you are connecting to. I have a 20megabyte (not megabit which is a common misconception) circuit but usually can only get 5-8MB of bandwidth on average from the server that I am connecting to.
We didn't notice much of a difference when we upgraded from 10MB to 20MB for this reason. We have more pipe to download concurrently but doesn't necessarily mean that the "internet" is going to be "faster"
WOW... I believe this is highly inaccurate. Maybe in the old days was it naive to type a question into a search engine. (until ask jeeves came along) but with the rise of Q-A sites this is a very valid way to find a question that has been asked before. Certainly it depends on the question you are asking but I think it's quite a false generalization at this point.
This was on Reddit a few months ago. I started running the blade against my arm before and after a shave and not only have I prolonged the life of the blade, but it's actually sharper than a new blade. It really has saved me a ton of money on razor purchases and I feel like I'm sticking it to the man a little also. I'm still using the same blade for over 3 months now.
