"Marc Maiffret...now works trying to find security flaws in Microsoft's software...". I wonder who pays him? No surprises as to why he finds Microsoft more secure than Apple and Adobe.
I found w3schools and tizag to be two of the best free web resources. JavaScript Kit goes into things in a little more depth with, IMO, better examples.
I highly recommend taking the scripts in the tutorial apart and testing to see what happens. No matter how much theoretical reading or tutorials I did, nothing came close to actual hands-on coding.
Tut tut tut, poor/non-existent support for 1024x768 monitors. The worst fact is the page hijacks the mouse scroll so it took me a few reloads and zoom-outs to realise there was some really bad placed text at the bottom
I think it was in the notes to a recent re-print of The Intelligent Investor or Security Analysis but it made clear that the cumulative profit of the airline industry has been negative overall (I'll try and find the reference to back it up). Of course there are some airlines that make money, but a lot that don't. Think of British Airways: essentially a loss-making pension fund with an airline on the side.
