I think that is the point. I would tweak the definition a little and say "Legacy is anything that's not fashionable anymore, but working and still being used just because it's working."
Mason55, I work for Rackspace. The ObjectRocket service does not run on the cloud servers you get from RS. It's actually a different architecture just for MongoDB: flash drives all over, containers, pretty much tuned for MongoDB across the stack.
While we don't describe the full details of the architecture, you have a very valid recommendation that we will take into consideration to make sure it is clear what you are getting for your money. Thanks.

However, I will be forwarding this to my wife who gives me a hard time when I, before getting rid of an old computer, remove the HD and give five or so well placed hits with a hammer on the whole HD assembly.
Two things are striking:
- The amounts under debate are small
- The DFAS agency's budget is huge (1.36B)
Why not eliminate the agency altogether? If we divide $1.36B by the number of active military members 1,429,995, that results in $951 / active military personnel.
If we assume payment issues happen to 10% of the military, then that means we can just institute a rule that would give every soldier up to $9,510 in free "payment error insurance."
But I guess having a government body of 12,000 people with the task of giving soldiers a hard time makes more sense to some federal bureaucrat.
You were really learning through playing. Learning is an investment. Not all play is learning.
Another distinction is that children are fed by their parents. So if you have a "parent" in your company who "feeds" you then you can play a lot (of course, until they realize you are 18 and kick you out of the house).
OP's point is that you need to build code or sell code. If learning helps you do either one, then I think it is not procrastination.
Going back to school does not automatically make you "look bad" at all. It shows your commitment to education and to finish what you started. There has to be some other reason you are not being called back. Maybe it's a bad resume, or your targeting is not good, heck, as we have seen in previous posts last week here, it may be that your name is "Kim"! (Look it up), or its your location or skill set presentation.
I find it hard to believe you cannot find a rewarding job in software these days! Assuming you are good, it has to be your presentation (in whichever format, paper, voice or email).
That is a simplistic definition. You exclude actions or systemic patterns, just to name a few things to think about. Go to implicit.harvard.edu for a couple of eye opening experiments and tests.
You would think these teachers would appreciate all the help they can get to earn some distinction in Sciences.
